Bristol Chamber Orchestra 2007-2008 Season

Our Concert Series features well-known professional performers.

Our Young Concert Artists Programs give talented young musicians a chance to perform with a professional ensemble thus gaining valuable educational experience, while entertaining our audience.

Bristol Chamber Orchestra is available for commercial recording
Annual Young Artists Concert featuring young virtuoso solo pianists and violinists March 30th 2008 3:30 pm First Baptist Church at 1 South Main Street, Sharon MA. Saint-Säens "Carnival of the Animals" narrated by our young protegés + Violin concerti by Haydn, Bach & Rieding.
  • The BCO Pops will be presenting a Summer Pops concert at Borderland State Park on June 1st of 2008.

    This concert will be free to the public and is sponsored in part by a grant from the Easton Cultural Council.

    • Solo Clarinetist Todd Brunel will perform a World Premiere of a new jazz-infused piece with the BCO Pops.

    • Jackie Ostergren will perform the Vivaldi Flute Concerto known as "La Notte", the Night.

    • Violinist and Music Director, Harris Shilakowsky will perform the Bach Violin Concerto in A minor & the Vivaldi SPRING.

    • TWO virtuoso young pianists; Sophie Tollefson & Kevin Lee will be performing the 1st & 2nd movements of the Bach Piano Concerto in F minor.

    • The Orchestra will perform the Bartok Romanian Folk Dances

    • Our program will 'seque' into a set of jazzy songs, Broadway tunes & Opera arias.

  • We're planning A New Competition for Young Musicians from the New England States. Info will be posted here.

  • Easton Community Chamber Orchestra (ECCO) a new chamber orchestra for serious amateurs and students of music.

 

Continuing our out-reach program with in-school lecture-demonstrations of chamber music ensembles.
